Do you have any old photographs, documents, or any other information related to the history of North Mymms, which you would be willing to share with the North Mymms History Project (NMHP)?

If so, please let us know by using the contact form at the bottom of the left-hand column of any page on this site.

The NMHP is a non-profit project run by volunteers who research, format, and upload information in their own time. Therefore we are unable to offer payment for any contributions.

Everything on the site has been donated or loaned to the team so that it can be made available to a wider audience. All costs are carried by the team running the site to ensure that access is unrestricted and advert-free.

In all cases where material is donated or loaned we offer full attribution setting out the ownership and copyright status. Where anonymity is requested we will honour that, too.

The NMHP draws on two major collections of local information:
  • The Images Of North Mymms collection contains more than 4,000 photographs that have been loaned or donated.
  • The Peter Miller Collection is a personal archive curated by local historian and archivist, Peter Miller, again containing many items which have been donated.
Items from both collections mentioned above make up the bulk of the content on this site. Anything donated to the NMHP would be stored in either or both collections.

So please do have a root through any old shoe boxes of photos, old magazines, or documents stored in a cupboard or in the loft to see if there is anything you feel might be of interest to people researching local history.

And if you suddenly feel compelled to jot down a few memories, please drop us a line using the contact form mentioned earlier.
