School bans Pokemon cards The head teacher of Brookmans Park primary has banned Pokemon cards from the school grounds. In his latest letter to parents and guardians (click here to read it), Peter Evans says the school is experiencing problems associated with the cards and if any are found they will be confiscated until the end of the summer term. He says the cards are causing arguments and intimidation. He says some schools have experienced physical violence and threatening behaviour because of the cards. This is not helped by the manufacturers making some cards rare and thus encouraging a desire to obtain them at almost any cost, he writes. Mr Evans says the next craze -Digimons- is apparently sweeping America and already Pokemon cards are yesterdays news but they are still causing problems. I do not wish to see any Pokemon cards within the school grounds, even at 3.15 p.m. If any are found they will be confiscated until the end of the summer term, he writes.
