Police issue parking warning
The warning comes in the latest neighbourhood watch newsletter and follows an increase in what officers are describing as "parking-related issues in Brookmans Avenue, Oaklands Avenue, Peplins Way, Bradmore Green and Westland Drive." Community police officer, Jo Wakelen, says officers are keeping monitoring the situation. "It’s understood that some people who are taking the train from Brookmans Park station are parking in nearby roads. We are keeping an eye on the situation and will be issuing tickets to anyone found breaking the law."
A debate about the station car park changes, and the impact on the local community, is continuing in this site’s forum. First Capital Connect say the car park has been taken over by National Car Parks (NCP). First Capital Connect has a brochure on its site setting out how to pay for parking in advance at other stations in the area, although Brookmans Park has not yet been added to that list and there are no prices given. You can discuss this issue in this site’s forum. 8 October 2008 Related News Parking problems escalate - 3 October 2008
