Flooding flashback - one year on

A year ago this month some residents in Warrengate Road had to evacuate their homes after Mimmshall Brook burst its banks.

It followed what were described as the worst weather conditions to hit the south of England since the storms of 1987.

A picture gallery of the aftermath was put together for this site to record the event.

The Meteorological Office put it down to severe weather bringing rain and strong winds from the North Atlantic. Since then new drainage pipes have been put down - but has enough been done?
