Commuters suffer more misery Rail travellers faced further delays to their journeys on Tuesday, October 31, when the line was flooded in Barnet tunnel, south of Potters Bar. WAGN laid on another emergency bus service to run between Potters Bar and New Barnet, but queues quickly built up at the station as demand outstripped supply. Some commuters waited for more than half an hour outside the station for the connecting bus - having already caught a replacement bus service from the village to get them to Potters Bar. The line was reopened by the evening, and the trains were expected to be running to the emergency timetable as usual from Wednesday November 1. In a further blow to rail commuters, Railtrack announced on Tuesday, that removing the wrecked train from south of Hatfield following the fatal train crash, was taking longer than expected. The line is not expected to be open until the middle of November. WAGN have constructed a temporary website, to keep commuters up to date with what is happening. There is also another site offering up to date information about train services. If you want to talk about the state of the railways or your
