Voting takes place in Room 2 at Brookmans Park URC until 9pm

Voting in the local government elections is underway in the largest poll ahead of the next general election.

The local polling station for Brookmans Park and Little Heath is in Rooms 1 and 2 at the United Reformed Church, Oaklands Avenue and is open until 9pm.

Voters will be invited to put their cross against either Stephen Boulton (Conservative) the sitting member, Catherine Edwards (Liberal Democrat) or Margaret White (Labour).

Brookmans Park and Little Heath is one of 17 seats on Welwyn Hatfield District Council being contested.

Welwyn Hatfield Council currently has a 48 seat council. According to the authority it has 26 Conservative councillors, 22 Labour and one vacant seat.
