Green belt society holds annual meeting

The North Mymms Green Belt Society (NMGBS) holds its annual general meeting on Monday 24 March, and all are welcome to attend.

The meeting, being held at the United Reformed Church Hall in Bluebridge Road starts at 8pm.

The NMGBS keeps an eye on all local planning applications and local authority and national government plans for the countryside.

The guest speaker on Monday night is Steven Bailes, the forward planning officer at Hertfordshire County Council.

Steve will update the meeting on the government’s proposals for airport expansion in the southeast.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows ...

To confirm the minutes of the AGM held 25 March 2002
To deal with matters arising from those minutes
To receive the chairman’s report
The presentation of the accounts for the year ended 31 December 2002
To receive the membership secretary’s report
Election of officers and committee members
Election of the honorary auditor
Any other business.

All are welcome to attend the meeting, but only members of the NMGBS are allowed to vote. Membership of the NMDGBS is a nominal Ł1 a head a year or Ł20 for life membership. Membership application and renewal forms will be available at the meeting and one, which you can print off and fill in, is reproduced below.
