Youth club reopens but help needed Report by Martin Ferdinando North Mymms Youth Club will be reopening its doors on Monday 23rd April from 7pm to 9.30pm. Aimed at young people from the villages of Brookmans Park and Welham Green aged 11 to 19, the club had to be closed in 1999 when two of the workers had to resign due to other commitments. Hertfordshire County Council's Youth Service has been working with young people in the area for many months to plan the reopening and are pleased that staffing arrangements have now been made to reopen. However, to augment these arrangements, Area Youth Worker, Phil Yugoda would like to hear from anyone who would be interested in working with young people at this friendly, rural youth club setting. He is looking for both paid and voluntary staff and can be contacted on 01920 888173, or mobile 07818 012320. So if you, or you know someone who might be interested, call Phil today. If you would like to know more details about the Centre, which is run entirely on a voluntary basis, by the community, for the community and learn about the variety of activities that take place at the Centre for all ages, contact management committee member, Martin Ferdinando on 01707 260687 or e-mail him at youth . New volunteers to keep the Centre running always welcome! Martin FerdinandoCommittee Member North Mymms Youth & Community Centre. March 9, 2001 Recent News feedback: feedback |
