All food businesses operating in the borough are subject to a food hygiene inspection by the council’s environmental health department.

Food Hygiene and Safety: Including food handling practices and procedures and temperature control.

Structural Hygiene: Including cleanliness, layout, condition of the building, lighting, ventilation and facilities (such as refrigeration).

Confidence in Management: Including the track record of the business, willingness to act on previous advice/enforcement, the complaint history and the attitude of management towards food hygiene and safety.

You can download the latest report in .pdf form, and search for a local business by entering the names Brookmans Park, Welham Green or any other local village you want to check.
