Advertise your local business for free

A new business directory has been added to the site so that local firms can post and edit their company details for free.

The service will replace the current contacts section, which is being phased out over the next few weeks.

The new system is being introduced so that local commercial concerns can have more control over what appears on the site.

All those running shops and services in North Mymms are eligible to use the facility as long as they comply with the site’s editorial guidelines.

Anyone running a local commercial concern can fill out a form, giving company details. If any of the details change, the user will be able to edit the entry themselves.

Some of the current general entries in the contact page, such as schools and health facilities, have been copied across to the new business directory, but it will up to local businesses to update their own information.

Hopefully it will become a useful collection of local contact numbers for shops and services in the area. The facility will be searchable by name, or by trade type.
