The Sealed Knot will be performing a re-enactment of the 17th century civil wars on Saturday 28 June at the Lochinver House School Summer Fete.

It’s the second school summer fete in as many weeks and will be followed, on Saturday 5 July, by fetes at St Mary’s Primary, Welham Green and Little Heath Primary.

The Lochinver event runs from 12.30pm to 4.30pm and has all the usual rides and attractions including the mega-assault course, bouncy castles and Bucking Bronco.

Music will be provided by the school’s ‘Swing Band’ and local jazz group ‘Stolen Moments'. Lunch is available from the food court and there will be Pimms and real ale.

The following weekend St Mary’s holds its Summer Fair from 12pm to 3pm at the school in Dellsome Lane, Welham Green.

The attractions include steam train rides, two bouncy castles, tombola, lucky dip, beat-the-goalie, arena displays, scooter track race, face-painting and hair braiding. There will be a barbeque and other refreshments. The school promises a surprise celebrity at the event.

Also on Saturday 5 July is the Little Heath Summer Fete. Details will be added when they are submitted.
