Party in the park This year Brookmans Park Village Day, on Saturday, June 15, marks both the primary school's 50th anniversary and the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
The event begins at 12.30 and closes at 17.00. Special arrangements are apparently being laid on for those wanting to watch the England v Denmark World Cup second round match.
The following is the list of events…
Between 13.00 and 17.00 there will be a talent show and entertainment in the arena including party games, the cutting of a giant 50th birthday cake and the release of hundred of balloons for the balloon race.
Amongst the attractions this year will be …
Refreshments include a barbecue, Thai Cuisine, Indian food, a beer tent, ice creams, candyfloss and popcorn.

There will also be a reunion tent for ex Brookmans Park Students, situated near the beer tent.
The new head teacher at Brookmans Park Primary, Lesley Stevens writing in the Village Day programme says …
“You're invited to the biggest party that Brookmans Park will see this year – the school's 'Party in the Park' to celebrate out 50th anniversary and the Queen's golden jubilee.
“On Saturday 15 June, we're opening our gates for a n afternoon to remember with attractions, stalls, entertainment and refreshments for all the family.
“The afternoon ends with the cutting of a giant birthday cake and the release of hundreds of balloons into the sky.
“It will be my first Village Day as head teacher of the school and I look forward to seeing you, and your family and friends, at our Party in the Park.
