Village day pictures online

For the third year running images of Brookmans Park Village Day are being posted on this site as the event takes place.

The photographs will be updated throughout Saturday afternoon June 16. You can download a picture gallery capturing the highlights of the day.

This year’s theme is the circus and as well as all the usual attractions there is a Big Top arena, an appearance from Rhubarb the Clown and the chance for youngsters to learn some circus skills.

The weather forecast is not good. It was raining for the pet show at 9.30am and although there are likely to be some sunny intervals, slow moving heavy thundery showers are expected during the afternoon. Winds will be light with the maximum temperature 20c. The grass pollen count is five which is medium risk.

09:30 - Pet show at school
12:30 - Fancy dress contenders assemble at Church for parade
12:45 - Parade to village school
13:00 - Gates open with official opening of Village Day in the Big Top Arena. Cheerleaders entertain and there will be the judging and presenting of the Fancy Dress prizes.
13:30 - Rhubarb the Clown
14:30 - Top Hat Drama Group
15:00 - Zenith Trampoline Club display
15:30 - Brookmans Park School Drama Club
16:00 - Stampede - come and line dance with the experts
16:30 - Brownie Races
17:00 - Finale - cheerleaders bring the day to a close
