Brookmans Park is the most information technology friendly village in Hertfordshire -- and that’s official.

On Saturday, a certificate was presented to confirm that when it comes to computers, Brookmans Park is the best.

We already knew that Brookmans Park had won the award, but a certificate to mark the achievement was finally handed over at a ceremony in Redbourn on Saturday 24 July.

The chairman of North Mymms Parish Council, Bob Horrocks, was on hand to receive the certificate and to confirm that Brookmans Park will now prepare its entry for the regional and national stages of the competition.

The winners of the next stage will be announced on 7 December, with a prize of £500 up for grabs for the regional winner and another £1,000 if Brookmans Park turns out to be the nation’s top ICT village.

If you have any suggestions of how the prize money should be spend if Brookmans Park wins, please make them in a discussion thread running in this site's forum.
