Increase in satellite dishes opposed A campaign has been launched by a number of residents living in the vicinity of the Brookmans Park Transmitter to oppose the installation of more satellite dishes at the site.
Letters have been sent out to every home in the immediate area urging residents to write to David Irving, the Environment Director at Welwyn Hatfield Council to express their concerns.
The letter says there has been no consultation with local people about the extra dishes and there is still uncertainty in the area as to whether the dishes pose any health risks.
The letter also calls for a meeting of local residents who are concerned. The author, Russell Jeffery wants locals to contact him on 01707 644775 or 07939 533087 so that he can set a date, time and venue for such a meeting. You can also e-mail him.
