Power problems continue
Areas of Brookmans Park have been continuing to suffer from problems with the power supply following Sunday night's failure.
Engineers from Eastern Energy were on the scene again Tuesday and Wednesday trying to repair the cause of the failure.
It is thought the fault is to do with high voltage lines on Railtrack property but a spokesman for Eastern Energy was unwilling to confirm this.
All he would say was that they would be trying to repair the fault but was unable to say when the area would be back to normal.
A resident in Bradmore Way has reported to this site that there were continued problems early in the week in Bradmore Way, Peplins Way, Bradmore Green, Oaklands, Westlands, The Gardens and some of Welham Green.
The local cub pack had to cancel its meeting on Monday night because there was no power to the hut 24 hours after the failure.
Eastern Energy restored power by bringing another generator to the substation behind the cub hut.
Eastern Energy is responsible for delivering the power supply to homes either via overhead power lines or underground cables.
The company has an emergency number for people to ring in the event of a loss of electricity. However the company asks customers to check whether their fuses have blown or a trip switch is off, whether the meter needs a token and if neighbours are without power before ringing 0800-7-838-838.
