The council has a scheme for recycling Christmas trees

Welwyn Hatfield District Council has published a revised refuse collection timetable to cover the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

As in previous years, there will be no collections on December 25, 26 or 27 or January 1. The holiday timetable starts on Monday, December 23, and runs for two weeks.

WHDC says people should keep their waste in an easily accessible place on their property and not leave it on the roadside.

The council says every effort will be made to stick to the schedule. The waste services number for all enquiries or problems is 01707-357857 or 01707-357815.
