Phone problems to last until Friday BT say the problem, which has put some phone lines out of action in Brookmans Park, might be resolved by Friday.
According to a company spokesman, BT might have to replace up to 320 metres of damaged cable under the Great North Road.
The work will involve the setting up of temporary traffic lights and disruptions to the flow of traffic and, because of that, there are restrictions as to when the work can be carried out; it is most likely it will have to be done at night. According to BT that decision rests with the local authority and the police.
So far BT have received 115 fault reports about the problem. The issue has been also been raised in this site's Forum.
