Brookmans Park and Little Heath
Neighbourhood Watch Scheme October 2008 Message from your ward constable PC Jo Wakelen
If you are going away, please make sure your property is secure and inform your neighbours so that they can keep an eye on it. Another big problem is people having work done to their houses and gardens and the workmen leaving properties insecure while they work. If you are having work done, please ensure your workmen understand the need for security and keep an eye out for suspect vehicles and people acting suspiciously. If you see people or vehicles in suspicious circumstances, please contact the police on 999 immediately, do not wait for the following day. There has been a drop in motor vehicle crime, but please do not become complacent. If you see any suspicious vehicles, please get the registration number and report it to the police. Criminal damage is also on the decrease, as are drug offences. Proactive policing and appropriate fines and cautions are working. There is an increase in parking related issues in Brookmans Avenue, Oaklands, Peplins Way, Bradmore Green and Westlands Drive. It’s understood that some people who are taking the train from Brookmans Park station are parking in nearby roads. We are keeping an eye on the situation and will be issuing tickets to anyone found breaking the law. The crime figures for June to September 2008 are as follows: Crime Figures
If you have any information about any incidents or suspicious activity in your area please do not hesitate to give me a call on 01707-638112 or 08453300222. Jo Wakelen 2460 Neighbourhood Officer Hatfield Ext.8112
You can discuss the crime figures and neighbourhood watch in this site's forum.
