The 50-page book of black and white photographs has been kept in the society's archives ever since and put on display at various meetings and events.

The North Mymms Local History Society (NMLHS), has given permission for the book to be reproduced on this site.

Any names of proprietors are those who were responsible for the shops when the photographs were taken and not necessarily the current owners.

This work is being presented in five chapters for ease of download. Chapter One - shops 1-15; Chapter Two - shops 17-41; Chapter Three - shops 42a-57; Chapter Four - shops 75-97; Chapter Five - general views of the village
