I have learnt from a reliable source that one of the restaurants is closing down in the village next year and probably becoming an italian restaurant.  About time!!

I totally agree that we need a decent Italian restaurant!  However, I have heard many differing stories about this.

At one point, the new Indian restaurant was going to be an Italian, and I then heard from a coule of people that the old sofa shop was finally going to be getting a restaurant licence - since they have sorted out the parking problems (apparently why it was originally denied a licence).  I had heard that it was going to be a branch of Paparazzi, which would be great, but have heard nothing for a while.  I would have thought that this venue would be the most ideal for a new restaurant since it has all the kitchens downstairs.

So, no concrete ideas, but a good Italian has to be a good change from the multitude of Indian restaurants. ;)

I agree! It mystifies me that there are so many businesses replicating themselves within this relatively small village centre. ::)
