Gleanings of North Mymms
« on: March 23, 2018, 07:12:02 am »
Leafing through old North Mymms parish magazines was like piecing together a "jigsaw of past events" for Merle Rafferty, whose 'Gleanings of North Mymms' is now online for the first time, along with 24 pictures which have been researched, sourced, and added by local historian and archivist, Peter Miller.

Rafferty writes about discovering "bundles of periodicals" in a "musty cupboard at the vicarage", with some magazines disintegrating when touched "completely destroyed by mice."

Anyone interested in the history of the area and/or the local church might find the feature, which is now on our new history site, interesting.
