Brookmans Park (New) Post Office
« on: January 25, 2018, 01:07:42 pm »
As we all are aware, the Post Office is now relocated,BUT is not yet up and running? I have been to see the new owner, SHEIKH, who has updated me as to "why" it isn't yet open.
First of all, it is NOT his fault, but of course he is getting the adverse comments. The issue lies firmly with Post Office HQ! There have been issues with computer and BT lines apparently, and SHEIKH  has been chasing up his manager each day, trying to get the matter resolved.
Is disgraceful that he has been put into this difficult situation, like all of us, he just wants the Post Office to be up and running and providing the service we want.
I'm sure that things will get sorted soon, and that we can get back to normality.
Alex

Good to know that the ATM is coming back - ironically to where the village's first ATM was when the dry cleaners was once Lloyds Bank

Phoned shop and they are getting a man in to look at the problem on Monday. Epic levels of dis organisation from the post office management team. Surley it would have been better to run the two shops in unison for a week to iron out any changeover issues. Dual redundancy is the term I think.  I wonder how much its cost the village in passing trade. Potters bar is the best option in meantime if you drive. BP
