Power went off this afternoon in Moffats Lane. I see from the UK Power Networks site that it was reported at 14:50.

I got a text from UK Power Networks

POWER CUT ALERT! This is UK Power Networks. We're aware of a potential unplanned power cut affecting your area. We're sorry if you've been affected by this, our reference is INCD-1130751-A. If your power's off you can keep updated by texting POWER & your postcode to 80876 e.g. Power AL9 7UR (standard text fees apply to 80876, but any texts we send are free). Or via our real time incident map at www.ukpowernetworks.co.uk/mobile/en/fault-map/?postcode=AL9+7UR

Thanks for that. I see from that link that "An underground electricity cable has faulted on our high voltage network, causing an area wide power cut", and that 733 customers are affected.
