Tube Strike 9th Jan - Great Northern
« on: January 06, 2017, 04:33:14 pm »
I have received the following message from Great Northern about Monday's strike

Quote
Due to the London Underground station staff industrial action on 9 January, Moorgate station will be closed for the day. We are not permitted to open the station with just our staff in place.

If the strike goes ahead we will operate a revised service plan for Great Northern Moorgate services.

From the start of service - 0700 Moorgate trains will be diverted to King’s Cross
From 0700 - 1900 trains will terminate at Old Street
From 1900 - end of service trains will be diverted to King’s Cross

Passengers are advised to check journey planners over the weekend and before travelling on Monday morning.

Please see below a further update on Moorgate Great Northern services for Monday 9 January.

Due to the London Underground station staff industrial action on 9 January, we are unable to call at stations between Essex Road and Moorgate. We are not permitted to open Moorgate station with just our staff in place and are unable to turn trains around at Old Street.

We will operate a revised service plan for Great Northern Moorgate services. From the start of service all trains will be diverted to King's Cross.

Passengers are advised to check journey planners before travelling on Monday morning and to avoid interchanging at Finsbury Park. Services will be subject to short notice cancellations and will be busier than normal.

Announcements will be made at stations and on Passenger Information Screens on-board trains. Further information can be found here -  http://www.thameslinkrailway.com or http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/
