Nice to know they're still about. When I were a lad in the 'sixties it was a rare expedition to Peplins wood or down to the swallow holes that did not turn up one or more of these lovely animals. Frowned upon nowadays, but I used to catch them, several on one particular morning. Generally, they quickly got used to handling and were happy to curl up in my pullover sleeve. I'm still alert to them when out and about, but haven't seen one for years.
