Post Office ATM Tampered
« on: February 13, 2012, 10:01:16 am »
Dear Watch Member,

Over the weekend, the ATM at the Post Office on Bradmore Green, had a device attached to it. A local resident alerted police when he tried to withdraw some money.

PC Nick Roll and myself, attended on Saturday evening and placed a note on the machine to warn other residents against using the ATM. It came to light during our enquiries, that it had been noticed on Saturday morning but was not reported to police.

Did you notice anyone hanging aorund the ATM on Saturday acting suspiciously? If you have any information regarding this incident, please contatc either PC Roll, nicholas.roll [at] herts.pnn.police.uk, 01707 806947 or myself, louise.luxford [at] herts.pnn.police.uk, 01707 806944 or alternatively the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference URN: 632 11/02/12.

The ATM was OK this morning.  We checked with the postmaster.
