Festive crime warning
« on: December 13, 2008, 04:32:59 pm »
Police are reminding people to take extra care over the festive holiday period to ensure that it's not spoilt by criminals. According to police, it's is a prime time for thieves, who may be watching shoppers from when they purchase gifts to when they put presents around the tree. Click here for more details.

I heard from a neighbour that 3 Houses were broken into last week in Moffats Lane, and a House was ransacked in Peplins Way.  Would the Local Police like to confirm that these actions have taken place ?. I hope that local people keep a eye on there neighbours property so that everybody can have a safe Christmas.  Regards THEROCK

We were burgaled in Georges Wood Road on 22nd December. Just took jewellery apparently for easy cash for Xmas. Police told us 2 other properties had been done in Cuffley same day.  We were only all out for just over an hour in the afternoon so clearly they had watched carefully.

Sorry to hear that Peter, and thanks for the warning. Bet they are glad they didn't call at ours, the only jewellery we have is plastic and came out of the xmas crackers.
