Dixons Hill Road, Welham Green
« on: November 20, 2006, 01:49:03 pm »
There are major road works being carried out on Dixons Hill Road which is closed between the station and the roudabout on the A1000.

I think that some of the traffic is being diverted through Brookmans Park

They are improving the road surface and the markings before winter sets in.  Herts Highways has been doing a lot of similar work in the area over the last few weeks.  For example, the A1000 has had grit laid on various sections to improve tyre grip.  Mind you, the leaves will be falling like mad now so 'take care' (don't you hate that phrase?)

When I went into Welham Green this morning they were doing work at the mini roundabout at the junction of Station Road and Dixons Hill Road.  I was able to avoid the work by going along Dellsome Lane past the shops and turning left into Knolles Crescent, which brought me out further along Dixons Hill Road.  I then turned right towards the A1(M) and Swanland Road.
