Title: The WWII military hospital in North Mymms
Post by: Editor on April 10, 2017, 10:29:46 am
We received an email recently from a man in Queensland, Australia, who had come across a photograph of the WWII military hospital in North Mymms. It was in a collection of his late father's photographs, and he thought there must be a story associated with the image. I passed the information on to local historian, Mike Allen, and, as reliable as ever, Mike dug deep into the archives and found the following. The pictures show the wards, the kitchen and the dining area. Below the images are some PDFs with more information about the hospital. All the images were taken by the late Ron Kingdon at North Mymms Park in the 1940s. They have been restored and digitally enhanced by Mike Allen.
