Wonder why these people (http://www.centrebus.info/Pages/Hertfordshire.aspx) haven't heard of it yet?

I have to say the vehicles used looked 'bargain basement' in design, and second-hand in appearance. As a long-time resident, I can say even an elderly green AEC looked a lot more inviting. Have to go back 40 years for that!

Is it possible to get from Brookmans Park to St Albans by bus without going to Potters Bar first to catch the 84?

Yes, by catching the 610 to Hatfield and picking up a bus from there.

I've often bought a combined train / bus ticket from Brookmans Park to St Albans (changing at Hatfield)

Interesting. How much is the fare and how long does it take typically ?

Off peak, about 6.50. Last time I paid 4.50 with a railcard but the fares have gone up since.  You can't buy from the machine here, just the ticket office and if that's closed you have to buy at Hatfield.

There used to be a leaflet about it called Line-to-Line but not sure if still available.  Natalie would be able to let you know.
Times vary depending on which bus from Hatfield Station (I'm not really sure which are more direct)
