Fascinating article about North Mymms wealth and slavery by former Brookmans Park resident Dr Chris Jeppersen, just added to our new history site the North Mymms History Project.

The item is a chapter from a book entitled The East India Company at Home 1757-1857. It tells how the four large houses of North Mymms: Brookmans, Potterells, Gobions, and Moffats, all benefited from the wealth derived from the East India Company's involvement in trade, exploitation, and slavery.
