« on: August 22, 2015, 07:15:56 am »
Another excellent opportunity to have a clear out and support your local Community Centre, Saturday 5th September 2015 10am-12Noon at the North Mymms Youth & Community Centre, Station Road, Welham Green. Admission 50p.
The Centre will be open to receive your goods on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd September 2-4pm and 7-9pm & Friday 4th September 1-5pm. (No jumble to be delivered on the Saturday please).
The Centre is always grateful for more volunteers to help with sorting jumble and generally helping out - please come along during the above times. All proceeds go towards the upkeep of the Centre, a registered charity, run by volunteers. A new disabled access ramp has been built at the Centre and they need to pay for it!

A couple of people have posted on our Facebook page asking if there is a Youth & Community Centre jumble sale in January. Like a total fool I sent them the link for the 2014 sale.

>:(

Sorry everyone, have deleted that confusing post.

I can't find any reference to a sale in January 2016. Is there one planned?

Thank you to all the volunteers that arrived to help out at the Jumble Sale this morning. All went very well and at 10am there was a queue of eager buyers stretching from the door into the car park. With the Centre full of goods in every room there were plenty of bargains available and as always it was the first in that snapped them up. Many people use such sales to acquire items they can use themselves, or to sell on via e-bay, car boot sales and other methods and many buy items that they then use to create something new. It's also a couple of hours for locals and those not so local to catch up on the latest news. The picture below is one of the rooms just ahead of the start of selling.
