digital air pumps in the area
« on: January 25, 2015, 10:12:49 pm »
I hope I'm allowed to ask this. I'm rather useless with being able to tell when tyres are at the right pressure when using ones when you have to pay for a token from the attendant to use a manual hose. The digital display at the BP garage in Potters Bar is currently out of order and I need to check the tyres. Where are the other petrol stations in the area with digital display air pumps in the area?

All the service stations I visit in the area have the digital pumps where you first set the pressure you want and then just hold down the button on the nozzle until a beeper goes off and you know you have reached the required pressure.

I checked my tyres yesterday at the Sainsburys garage at London Colney.  There are 2 pumps (one is out of use at the moment) both are digital and both are free to use.

Thanks. Ones with the tokens and manual displays are both at that petrol station near potty pancakes and Cuffley.  I couldn't see one at Bell Bar

I have purchased a well known make digital tyre inflator which plugs into cigar lighter to power up, which has given me great service over the five years of onwership, it also provides an accurate and consistent pressure reading which I have found not always to be the case using service station gauges that perhaps are not always calibrated correctly or regularly.

No I am not. I was meaning I could not see an air pump at Bell Bar when I was driving around the area on my way home and thanks for the locations. I just happen to live in an area where there wasn't the digital displays so that's why I was asking. Btw, I happened to be in Hatfield and used one there.
