Firearms amnesty in Hertfordshire
« on: October 30, 2014, 07:37:55 am »
Police are inviting the public to surrender any firearms that they don’t want (or shouldn’t have) during an 11-day amnesty running from November 10 to 21. It’s also an opportunities for those who require a firearms certificate to talk it through with officers. More details on the Hertfordshire Constabulary site.

More info just in via a Neighbourhood Watch email update with a reminder that the gun amnesty ends tomorrow, Friday 21 November. In the 11 days since the amnesty began 183 guns and two crossbows have been handed in across the county. Police say this is far more than anticipated. If anyone hasn't taken advantage of the amnesty, and is still concerned about firearms in their possession, they should call 101 and ask to speak to a firearms licensing officer.
