Today whilst on patrol I have managed to sign up twenty residents from Pine grove Brookmans park to the online watch system Owl. This is twenty New people who will have access to a brilliant way of receiving the latest crime news and how to prevent themselves becoming victims of crime. I have made it my mission to get everyone I can to sign up for neighbourhood watch so we can target harden the village and make it less attractive for criminals. I still have more houses to do in Pine Grove so if I haven't knocked at yours yet I will be coming again over the next couple of weeks. If you see me in the village then please stop me and I will sign you up.

I have today signed up another 26 households to the OWL system. These residents complete my sign ups for PINE GROVE Brookmans park a total of 46 sign ups. I will check NHW coverage around the village and choose my next target area. Don't worry if I have not got to you yet. If you see me in the village please approach me I don't bite and I will sign you up to our wonderful system. Remember knowledge is power , if you know the scams you are not likely to be taken in.
Keep safe Bill.

This morning I have been in PEPLINS WAY to sign up more residents to the Neighbourhood Watch owl system. I am pleased to report I have thirty new residents on our system. At the start of the day only ten residents in the street were signed up.
If I called at your address this morning and you were out could you please go onto the Herts police web site and were it says OWL click on the link and sign up yourselves. Alternately if you see me on patrol please stop me and I will sign you up.
The more residents in the village signed up the better.

Today I will be signing up more residents in the Mymms Drive area Brookmans park to neighbourhood watch. I have noticed this street as being low on Owl online system members. As I have stated before it is my intention to sign up as many residents in Brookmans Park as I can. The streets I have already targeted now have over 70% coverage where before they were in the low twenty's. Owl is a great system and informs you of crimes occurring in your area and any scams that are emerging and offers advice on home and personal safety.
Any resident who wishes to sign up before I get to there street only needs to email me there name address telephone number and email address and I can put you straight onto the system.
I will update you all with the results of Mymms drive sign ups later.
Thank you all
Bill.

Hi Bill,

How many is that you have signed up since you took over this beat? And do you have a figures for the total number of Neighbourhood Watch members in Brookmans Park and what percentage that is of the community?

As soon as our volunteer NHW imputer returns I will supply you with that figure. I know when I post a message on Owl the email message only goes to 477 members. That does not include phone messages and letters and fax.

I have done some number crunching with the Owl imputer. There are 2244 property's in Brookmans Park, Little Heath and Newgate street. I have yet to visit and sign up or attempt to sign up 1365 property's . 586 are now on our systems which is approximately 23% with the average on other wards being 21%. Since being your local officer I have signed up 200 addresses. An achievable target by the end of the year would be 50% coverage of the ward on neighbourhood watch which would make us the best watch in Hertfordshire. Please encourage your friends and neighbours to join in. Lets show criminals they are not welcome in our area.

I have today been out and about again today and signed up another 31 residents to Neighbourhood watch . These residents are from some of the little closes on the ward. Today I have been to Peplins close, Park close , Moffats Close, Wain close Little heath, Cranmer Close and Speyhawk place. Some of these closes had no members at all so they were worth concentrating on. I still have Ash close and Fairview to do.

Good evening residents. Today I have been signing up more residents from the village to NHW. I have knocked on doors in UPLANDS DRIVE Brookmans Park and managed to sign 20 new households. We are now heading towards a doubling of Neighbourhood watch on the ward since I started working here in August. I will not rest until I have a good coverage in every street on the ward. If I have not knocked on your door yet then don't worry I will be working my way to you in the very near future.

Good afternoon residents. Today I have signed up another twenty households on THE GREAT NORTH ROAD Brookmans Park to Neighbourhood watch. I would like to welcome these residents to our growing family of NHW, and thank you for joining. Its a great system for keeping abreast of new and emerging crime trends. If you were out when I called I have left you my details. Please email me and I shall add you to the system.
Happy Easter to you all.

Good afternoon residents. Today I have been in THE GROVE Brookmans park. I have managed to sign up 26 homes to the neighbourhood watch system. I meet some lovely people and had a nice cup of tea at one of the homes I signed up which is always most welcome. Thank you all who signed up. Lets get the message to burglars and car thieves that if they target the village they will be seen and they will be reported to police.

Today I have been in Georges Wood road and signed up another 35 houses to neighbourhood watch. Thank you to all the residents who signed up. For those who were out but also wish to join please go to Herts police website and click on the OWL link. Alternately if you see me please stop me and I can take your details and get them entered on to the system.

Hi Bill,

What strikes me is that you take interest in doing your job without being a "Jobs Worth"

Keep up the good work !!!

Thanks
