« on: October 08, 2004, 02:30:28 pm »
Police are appealing to anyone who has had jewellery stolen to contact them. They've recovered 200 items believed to have been stolen during house burglaries.

In an e-mail to this site, Detective Sergeant Graeme Smith of the Burglary Unit said: “As well as holding monetary value, we are sure that much of the recovered items have sentimental value and we are keen to reunite the items with their rightful owners. If you have lost jewellery in a burglary, please make contact with us to arrange a viewing.”

Jewellery and other items recovered includes the following:

  • Engagement, wedding, signet, eternity and dress rings
  • Necklaces
  • An exclusive Swiss travel clock
  • Earrings

Owners are asked to contact Hertford Police Station on 01992 533521 or to drop into the station between 9am-5pm to view the items.
