Angerland Common to Dellsome Lane Path
« on: July 24, 2013, 07:42:31 am »
Just a heads up that the University Planning application for the Sports Park closes on 8th August.

https://fastweb.welhat.gov.uk/detail.asp?AltRef=S6/2013/1261/MA&ApplicationNumber=&AddressPrefix=angerland&submit1=Go

Now is the chance for residents to lobby for the Developer to include a smooth (tarmac) shared use path to join Dellsome Lane to South Way along the east side of the Park in order to bypass the hazardous steps on South Way.

Hi henrycrun, welcome to the forum. I have tweeted your post. I can't find a Twitter account for the Welham Green Residents Association, so was not able to include them in the tweet, although I am sure they would be interested in your lobby call.

The Brookmans Park Newsletter has been supporting the village and our local community since 1998 by providing free, interactive tools for all to use.

The consultation period seems to have been extended.

and a further extension to November 13th.

The Agent has responded to the Cycle Path proposal saying -

This site does not involve the University (maybe but students and staff need a direct route from NCN 12)
The site has to be secure (not a problem just route it outside the fence)
If anyone does cycle they can go through the Incinerator site and back along Southway (who wants to mix it with the lorries ?)

Several letters are duplicated but I think this is the one

Not sure if there was a mix up but according to the 'TIME EXTENSION LETTER TO 13 DECEMBER' pdf. this has been extended again.
If this is the case, there is still time for interested residents to ask for a new path to/from Welham Green.
