The forum rules on links in posts
« on: January 26, 2013, 06:59:01 am »
I thought it worth clarifying the forum's policy on linking. In particular posting messages which contain a link with no supporting context.  The text below comes from the registration agreement that all sign up for when joining the forum.

When posting links on the Brookmans Park Newsletter Forum, members may link to any other site that provides information that helps answer another member's question or is just of general interest to members of that particular forum; the Brookmans Park Newsletter forum supports this type of exchange.

The only type of linking not allowed is when members invite people to leave the Brookmans Park Newsletter Forum in order to continue the discussion on another forum. The aim of this forum is to have a healthy debate on local issues and it makes no sense to transfer that discussion elsewhere.

When posting a link, please add context and explain why it is worth clicking. A post containing a link and no context is not helpful.
The Brookmans Park Newsletter has been supporting the village and our local community since 1998 by providing free, interactive tools for all to use.
