Youth raising cash
« on: April 23, 2002, 05:38:30 pm »
This was posted on another thread but it was suggested it might be worth a new discussion.

It seems the youth of Woolmer Green also had a problem regarding the lack of recreational facilities but came up with a solution - see Welwyn Hatfield Times

Would teenagers be willing to try the same in Brookmans Park?

I feel that this plan would only work for the younger ones of the village. I woudn't be able to gain the time to the odd jobs around the village as I have a very tiring routine.
If you must know, I'm not sure I want to do peoples garden's and jobs since they may find us intimidating. I once tried when I was younger at cleaning cars and I got told to **** off. This attitude may change if they had knowledge of the cause.

I would think that if you haven't got time to do any odd jobs, then you wouldn't have time to use the facilities, therefore there's no point in trying to get them :)

The Orange Llama. That would also be the case, but I could use the facility if it was to be open late. Whereas these odd jobs would preferably be done during the day.

Dear orange lama,

You said '' I would think that if you haven't got time to do any odd jobs, then you wouldn't have time to use the facilities, therefore there's no point in trying to get them  ''

Just because we haven't got the time doesnt mean that other people cant do jobs as well. We dont want  facilites just for our selves there are mnay other youngesters that would use them as well. Therefore you statement is just false and wrong.

We want to try and get fun things for the younger people as well, thereore many people can use them time after time.

Think about what your going to say before you say it!  >:(

To be honest Anna why don't you clean your car and mow your lawn. Or is it because you can't be bothered?
