Add more info to the headlines of posts
« on: January 16, 2012, 07:09:44 pm »
Hi all,

I have noticed a few posts recently with one or two word headlines in the subject field. You are probably going to get far more clicks and views if you add a few more words setting out what the post is about. Also, when the topic is automated through to the Facebook page or retweeted from the post, it will carry with it the longer headline that explains more about what the thread is all about.

Hi all,

Just a reminder that sentence topic headlines to new posts are better than one word headlines. This is because they automatically travel through to our Facebook page and work better there and on Twitter if they are a sentence. It also helps those scrolling through the new topics on the front page of the site or the forum front page to decide which threads to click on.

Thanks

David
