9:29 Crews Hill - Moorgate: an oyster peculiarity

I am having trouble understanding this train. If you use Oyster PAYG anytime before 9:30 am the fares are charged at peak rate. And yet according to the timetable the 9:29 is the first off-peak train. What do i do?

With overheads it doesn't go on what time the train departs, but rather the time it is set to arrive in London. Can't remember if it's 9:30am or 10:00am.
