Hi Therock,

I am not sure, for privacy reasons, that it would be right to list the names of those who have been banned. And nobody has ever been banned for having strong and honest opinions. One was banned for trolling another for making racist comments.

David

Note: edited to clarify reasons for bans.

It would only be the names, this could stop anyone looking for hours and hours for someone who has been banned, if we are trying to contact them  .. (if that made sense)  just names no reasons....

Only two people have ever been banned.  One was two years ago and is no longer banned, another is currently unable to post.

I have just checked the forum logs and they confirm what I thought. Only two members have received temporary bans since we began running a forum almost 14 years ago.  In those logs we record the reasons why the ban was given and the number of warnings issued prior to the ban.  This information is contained in an admin section of the forum visible to the moderators. It is not made public for privacy reasons although those who are affected are notified of the decision.

Mr Rock, I would draw to your attention Reply No 276 on the thread, "Hatfield Incinerator - what's going on?", dated 29th November, 2011.   Grumpy Old Roy informed us all that he has been busy supplementing his meagre state pension, but is now back in business.
