« on: December 05, 2011, 07:44:20 pm »
Dear Watch Member,

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a burglary at a home in Brookmans Park on Thursday (December 1).

The Burglary was between 3pm and 8pm in Calder Avenue. Offenders broke into the house and searched, before taking a number of items. They also opened a briefcase in the back garden before leaving it there. Stolen items included a Gucci gold watch, a gold tie pin, a gold broach and an amount of cash.

PC Chris Brown, investigating, said: "I would like to encourage anyone who saw any suspicious activity around the time of the crime or has any other information about it to get in touch. Was there anyone hanging around ?. You may even have seen the unusual behaviour of the offenders opening the brief case in the garden. If so, please contact me."

If you have any information ring PC Brown via the non-emergency number 101. or call Crimestoppers, on 0800 555111.

The crime reference is B2/11/4395.

Aidan,
Do you know which part of Calder Ave.  Calder Ave is really 2 roads, one runs East/West and one runs North/South.  Why 2 roads have the same name confuses not only me but a number of delivery folk who deliver to me in Calder.  Most houses on the North/South part back onto a small woodland, could that have been a contributory factor?
