Theft at the Dutch Nursery - police appeal for witnesses
« on: October 27, 2011, 04:26:42 pm »
Just received this from OWL / Neighbourhood Watch

Dear Watch Member,

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a theft at the Dutch Nursery in Brookmans Park.

The incident happened between 7pm on October 13 and 8am on October 14 at the nursery off the Great North Road. One or more offenders have approached the garden centre in a vehicle, entered the site and stolen a number of white stone statues and plants.

The stone statues include:

1) A Venus de Milo statue.
2) A snake girl statue.
3) A Roman maid statue.
4) A shell girl statue.
5) A fruit girl statue.

PC Paul Saunders, investigating, said: "I am appealing for anyone with information on this crime to get in touch.

"In particular, it may be that you saw some people in a vehicle near the garden centre acting suspiciously or you have seen some of these stolen items for sale.

"If so, or you have any other information on this crime, I would like to encourage you to contact me."

Those with information are asked to PC Saunders Unit via the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555111.

The crime reference number is B2/11/3711

Errmm, wrong, they are most likely not looking in the right places as these are mostly no-go areas to the Police.
