Video conversion software
« on: October 12, 2011, 12:20:03 pm »
Hi All,

I have a new tablet and it won't play .wmv files.  Since you can only download digital copies from blurays in either itunes or windows media formats I am stuck.  I'm looking for some conversion software to change the wmv to mpg4 or such like, but all the free stuff appears to be buggy spyware-infested rubbish, and the amazon listed stuff appears to have awful reviews.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks,
Aidan

I always use DVDVideosoft for conversions. Apart from wanting to put an extra toolbar in your web browser I haven't found any other problems with it.

Thanks Mike,

I've since discovered that there is fairly potent DRM on the discs that may be causing me the problems.  Damn DRM!
