Flat Tyres
« on: February 27, 2004, 09:52:52 pm »
For the third time in as many weeks, I was outside today and heard what I thought was a traction engine approaching, only to look around and see that it was a car going past with one flat tyre, and the driver (presumably) oblivious to the fact.

Until they tried to stop suddenly or go round a corner, I suppose.

Are modern cars really that good that you don't know you've got a flat? Even when its going round like a bit of doormat?

ps Not one was a 4x4 - how's that for fairness?

Good to see that you were also fair enough not to mention whether they were men or women, Alfred.

Or does that mean they were all men?

Actually, now you mention it, if my memory serves me correctly all three were women.

Sorry, but it's true.
