Police are appealing for witnesses afer a cyclist died at the scene of a road traffic accident on Sunday.

APPEAL FOR WITNESSES FOLLOWING FATAL RTC IN POTTERS BAR

POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal RTC on Barnet Road in Potters Bar yesterday (January 9).

The incident occurred at just before 10am. A blue Nissan Navarra collided with a pedal cyclist. 

The cyclist - a 39 year old man from Potters Bar – tragically died at the scene.

No one else was injured.

Closures were put on the road at the junction with Dancers Hill Road, Dove Lane and Hill Rise.

Collision  Investigation officer, PC Matt Hollingsworth, said: “This was a tragic incident as the cyclist passed away at the scene.
 
“We are very interested to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision who has not yet spoken to officers and would encourage them to get in touch as soon as possible.”
