Come on now - important questions need prompt answers.  Let's try to get more votes than Gordy, Dave and what's his name...   ;D

Oh no! I meant to vote for 50 duck-sized horses, and I voted for one horse-sized duck. Oh well - what do I care? I've been pecked to death by now.

and more importantly; if they quack in a forest when no one is around, do they make a noise?

I feel like a real geek now... I Googled that question, and according to a web page on 'How to Raise a Duck' - yes they do!! I shall now go an lie in a darkened room.

Can any of this be true?

Apparently, as well as pecking, ducks line their nests with feathers plucked from their own chests (ouch). They have three eyelids and . . . I'm finding this one especially hard to believe . . . their quacks have no echo.

Ferdie, I'll be joining you in that darkened room . . .

No, I found all of this on an obscure educational website. I wouldn't be suprised if it lifted its info from Wikipedia or similar, though . . .

Just to remind everyone, the ducks left on Sunday afternoon just as I was getting ready to put the dinner on.
