Adding pictures to your posts
« on: May 02, 2010, 11:42:28 am »
A reminder that all forum users are able to add pictures to posts. Here is how:

  • As you write your post you will see an 'Additional Options' tab, below left.
  • Click that and you can browse to the file on your computer and upload
  • Note that images must be no larger than 500kb

If your images are too large, you will need to reduce them. If you don't have the software on your computer, try the free, online editing tool Picnik. http://www.picnik.com/.  If you use Picnick:

  • Upload the image
  • Click on resize
  • Check the 'keep properties' box
  • Set the first dimension to 800
  • Click 'Save & Share'
  • Select the compression quality 8
  • Ensure that the KB size does not exceed 500kb
  • Save and upload.
